Combra is closing.

We built Combra so teams could ask questions about their own knowledge and get answers they could trust. And for a while, that's exactly what it did.

But the industry moves fast. A lot of our ideas turned out to work: answers backed by sources, a knowledge base that AI tools could connect to through MCP, and information that stays up to date instead of getting buried in outdated docs.

Unfortunately, when the biggest tech companies start building the same things, it's hard for a small team to keep up. And at some point, it makes more sense to move on than to keep fighting a battle you probably can't win.
